This regional Italian dish is easy, healthy and delicious! The flavors merge into creamy goodness and Pantala Dukkah adds a tasty crunch that sets it apart. You’ll love this as a side dish, lunch or even your main meal.
Ingredients
-
1 15-oz can cannellini beans
-
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
-
2 cloves garlic
-
2 teaspoons dried sage
-
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
-
1-2 sprigs fresh thyme
-
1-2 tablespoons Pantala Dukkah Nut & Spice Blend
-
2-3 green onions, chopped, for garnish
-
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Step 1:
1. Heat olive oil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Sauté garlic and sage in hot oil until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add beans; cook and stir until beans absorb the aroma of garlic and sage.
Step 2:
2. Pour in tomato sauce and add sprigs of thyme; bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until beans are soft but not mushy, 10 to 15 minutes. If needed, add a little water to keep sauce from burning. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Step 3:
3. Upon serving, top with Pantala Dukkah and green onions. Enjoy!
